At the prealpi Bank of Tarzo’s auditorium the presentation of The Alpe Adria event took place on January 10th. A full partecipation of entities supporting the event was at hand; among them: the assistant council of Conegliano Ms. Perin, deputy mayor of Vittorio Veneto Mr. Maso; Tarzo’s mayor Mr. Bof; Fregona mayor Mr. De Luca; Farra d’Alpago’s mayor Mr. Del Pra; Polcenigo’s mayor Mr. Della Toffola and reppresentatives of the towns of Tambre & Caneva. Also present was Mr. Speranzon reppresentative of the Treviso Province; Ms. Berto of Veneto’s Agricolture and Mr. Pilat of the Forestry Protection. In attendance were also the president of F.I.S.O. (Italian Orienteering Federation) Mr. Gazzerro and vicepresident Mr. Manarin; the Pro Loco president Mr. Piaia and the Resque Squad’s president Mr. Caliandro.  Last but not least the Orienteering Tarzo’s organizers were well represented headed by their president Mr. Mauro Tona vice president Mr. Ercole Pin and coach Mr. Roland Pin.

During the presentation topics such as Tourism Development in the area were discussed. Orienteering is a sport in close contact with nature, therefore we, as organizers are trying to promote a quality brand of tourism capable to understand the importance of the territory such as the Cansiglio Forest. The organization is receiving excellent support (logistical, technical, promotional) by all entities involved and are confident to reach the June’s dates well equipped to satisfied everyone’s expectations. Moreover this is not intended to be an isolated event but the start of a project that will continue through the years eyeing in particular the year 2018 when the centennial anniversary of the end of the Great War is commemorated.
