In accordance with the law  in order to practice competitive sports in Italy, competitors are required to possess a valid medical certificate. On june 28th 1914 Archduke Francis Ferdinand heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne was assassinated in Sarajevo. This event forced the Austro-Hungarian empire to declare war on Serbia determining by all means  the start of World War I. At the prealpi Bank of Tarzo’s auditorium the presentation of The Alpe Adria event took place on January 10th. A full partecipation of entities supporting the event was at hand; among them: the assistant council of Conegliano Ms. Perin, deputy mayor of Vittorio Veneto Mr. Maso; Tarzo’s mayor Mr. Bof; Fregona mayor Mr. De Luca; Farra d’Alpago’s mayor Mr. Del Pra; Polcenigo’s mayor Mr. Della Toffola and reppresentatives of the towns of Tambre & Caneva. Also present was Mr. Speranzon reppresentative of the Treviso Province; Ms. Berto of Veneto’s Agricolture and Mr. Pilat of the Forestry Protection. In attendance were also the president of F.I.S.O.
